About

The first complete issue of Rabin’s Bell Telephone Hour broadcasts, remastered from superior source material.

Includes 34 tracks; pieces by over 20 different composers, with Concerto excerpts, featuring arrangements by Kreisler, Heifetz, Szigeti, Hartmann, etc.

Reviews

The current collection, which dates from 1950–54 and has been extremely well transferred, includes various concerto movements but is made up mostly of encore pieces, some displaying a degree of deftness that is nothing short of sensational (try Kroll’s Banjo and Fiddle). ... So here’s your chance to enjoy 33 tracks of prime fiddle-playing, then look out for the rest of Rabin’s slender discography and like me await the second volume of these Bell Telephone Hour broadcasts with bated breath.  Rob Cowan
